The age-old habit

The body-mind is trying to use the same instrument to try to understand and behold, wanting to control the unknown, awakening, the vastness, awareness. It's an immediate action happening, an age-old habit. In the beginning it's quite lost in this. It is trying to "be here now", trying to "be in the present", fantasizing what's it like to be "awakened", trying to recognize when there is awareness and when there is not. Trying to know when it knows the "unknowable".

The mind is in the search for the moment when it can declare when it has happened, the confirmation that it's enlightened. From now on there is only the enlightened life with the never-ending happiness, clarity, wisdom and the struggle and the suffering has come to an end. This play can go on some time, by old habit. The body-mind is using an instrument that is not going to work here, in this it's totally useless. It's nothing wrong with the instrument but...

The final moment when all questions will be solved and cleared is a fantasy, a hope, a bad illusion. When the futile exercise is recognized, when there is a noticing that this is really not going to work, then...

Maybe there is a opening for something new, something that has never been seen before, an invitation from existence, the life itself....maybe.

To start to functioning in a new way

You cannot recognize anything when it is new, beacause it has never haved happened, and you can never imagen it and you can never dream about it. That's why I say enlightenmnet is not a goal, it's a new begining. where you got to start to functioning in a new way.

Right here, right now

There is nothing to sale or a agenda in this, and still it is nothing wrong if that happens. The world is as it is, pain happens, pleasure happens. This is not higly moraly thinking, rather a discovery what already is there. The action of giving help maybe is there, or not. There is no garante what is going to happen next. The next moment is not given beforehand. The action is a response to what is. The situation tells you what the next action should be. A natural flow. Look for what the "now" demands from you. Be there in the happening, whatever the happening is. Follow the direction life in every moment gives you. Right here, right now.

Merry chrismas to you all out there

Hou, hou, hou.......

Here is some words of Adyashanti.

-Nothing is pretending to be something.
-Awakening is when the argument with “what is” stops.
-If you see the truth it sets you free.
-When we die into our true nature it is so quite, because there is no argument.
-It is totally peaceful in what is outside the thinking. There is no argument of “what is”.

Eli Jaxon-Bear

Here is some some interesting talks about the master and the disciple by Eli Jaxon-Bear, funny about the parrot who teaches. And as he says the more important than a authentic teacher is a true seeker.....Eli says;

My teacher said any parrot could be taught to say the words of freedom. And just hearing the words can create an enormous shock. But the parrot can only repeat the words and cannot work with the mind of the seeker. The parrot does not emanate the silent transmission of authentic being. And yet, if a true, sincere seeker sits with the parrot and projects the truth of consciousness onto the parrot, the parrot can work as a function of enlightenment. A true seeker is the most important ingredient. Then even a parrot will be useful.
My advice is to find out for yourself. No other is needed between you and your self. You have the full capacity to realize what is true for yourself. Nothing needs believing. And believing can’t touch the bliss of touching nothing.

My teacher also once said that a true student has no head and a true teacher has no teaching. In the mysterious meeting of no head and no teaching there is a transmission of silence in the most intimate way. Completely personal and truly non-personal conscious love sees itself and confirms itself.

The bliss of that meeting is unspeakable and the source of all great art, poetry, and sutras.
People project all different levels onto the so-called teacher. For some the teacher is a father projection, for others the teacher is a love object or an object of fear. For some there is attraction and for others a repulsion. Some come very close and some stay very far. Each is appropriate in its place and each can be a strategy for escape. One of the great gifts of the teacher is that the teacher does not believe your lies. The true teacher sees through you and your projections. The true teacher knows there is no difference really between master and disciple.

Eternal Holliday

In the recognition of "who am I" there is a relief, a total unburdening of the mind.
Mind has come to now why it is at easy with the unknown, no more wonder no more need to know anything, at all. The trying to be something has come to an end. Eternal hollyday.

Enlightenment got to be to your satisfaction.

This clip on the Tube is about David Spero. He talks about that "Enlightenment got to be to your satisfaction." Interesting subject, and I give a comment on that.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85oZ9U9mhmk&feature=channel

David Spero

So here is the question; how do you know when you are enlightened? If the only person that ever can know that is you yourself, or put it more rightly; it is the awareness self that can know anything about it. There is never coming a point when someone is coming and declaring you to be enlightened or an enlightened being. So this is it.

You are never going to know when you are enlightened, if there is such a “thing”. Interesting, isn’t it? Okay then, see it from another point of view. If you know that you never can know for shore that you can be enlightened, how can you know that you are unenlightened?

It seems that we have a problem here.

So how can we know?

Any claiming about being enlightened is a proof that you isn’t. But, on the other hand it could be an enlightened one who is joking, playing with the notion.

How can you know?

But….

If you know that you never can know then the whole idea of enlightenment collapses. It’s ridiculous. Mind game. Play with duality.

IF that happens that a person comes and declares you to be enlightened, what happens to you? How do you think the “me” is reacting to that? Think about it.

Scary, isn’t it?

And any experience, any state that could be defined as a criteria for enlightenment would be to kill the aliveness of existence, it would be a plastic flower. This is not the denying of fantastic mind blowing experiences, ecstatic moments, blissful happenings, and liberation of the “me” experience. This is all fine but, the good question is if there ever will be that everlasting goal when the existence is perfect, and it will never change anymore?

Aliveness is about uncertainty, never knowing what the next moment is bringing about. Every moment is openness into the unknown. This aliveness is a mystery and that mystery is alive. Nothing is beforehand given. Every single moment is open for anything and everything.

And still the talk of enlightenment happens, and what it really is, is up to you. That’s the freedom of it.

What is left....?

What is left...?
When the dead end of the intellektuall understanding is reached.
When all possible questions is asked.
Every thinkable enquiry is made.
Every corner of the reasoning mind is coverd.
Everything that needs to be done is done, ore can be done.
When all akting or practises has failed.
When all knowledge of the human encounter is finished.
what is left...
is there anyway...
is undeniable...
obvious...
is.

Roshitalks part two

The space of "now" is who you are. I am the space where everything take place, happens.

Awareness is Notknowing actuality or the fact of Notknowing. If you listen to this words, just said, through the filter of intellekt you miss it entairly, but if you listen to this lightly, there might be a recognition where it points to

Roshitalks

In awareness you can ever be what you already are, just now, just here. There is nothing wrong with practice and all kind of exercises, but. It's too simple to practice. The practice would bee; bee here, right now. Now, how can you "do" that?

The miracle is constantly, effortlessly taking place in your awareness. When the "me" claims this to be some ones, the miracle vanish in to thin air and the wonder is gone. And, again when the claimer for no reason is forgotten, the magic and the wonder arises. If you stop feeding and fueling the "me", the wonder and the divine is there by itself.

Mind turns everything to a thing. Because its nature is to try to understand, control, grasp and own. When it can't its lost. Look....now, when there is a talk about the "Now" or "this", immediately there seems to be someone who has this so called knowledge about it. This sense of the "me" ore "mind" is what it's all about. This someone got to be questioned, investigated. This turning everything to a thing is a habit. When this is seeing through.......when this turning is seeing through.....I don't know.....something is shining through.

If there is something to do, a goal, to become, then the mind can function properly. Otherwise it goes nuts. The doing is minds job. The rest is beyond its reach.

The words No mind, nonevent, effortlessness, inner silence points to what we are looking for, and is never attained by the "me" or the "mind" or the appearance of a person. And still it happens; somewhere in the awareness there is the registration what's going on.

The OBJECT creates the subject

Awareness creates the idea that there is something here that is separate from the appearences. That's the Illusion, there is no way to avoid it. It's natural, the demand from univers. As soon as there is an object, there appear the thought that THERE most also be a experiencer. That's the joke. That the awareness is separate from the appearences, objects. It may take a lifetime to realize it and the reason is that it is too close. It's always overlooked. The OBJECT creates the subject. The subject is the space that alowes the object to exist. The reason why everything exists at all is that it is whole.

The spiritual journey

You start the spiritual journey with the grasping and wanting of something, a thing that will dissolve all your problems, a state that will give you never ending happiness, a desire for a heaven free from sorrow and pain. You start with the desire, nothing wrong with that, but... On the journey something happens in the background, unseen. The traveler start to disappear, and there comes a point when he is totally lost and still nothing has changed. He has changed, not the existence, life. The life has always been the same, and now he is the life itself. The illusion was that he was separate from life...there is no boundaries anymore...the sky was always there behind the thick clouds.

What else is there to do?

This is what enlightenment is all about - a deep understanding that there is no problem. Then, with no problem to solve, what will you do? Immediately you start living. You will eat, you will sleep, you will love, you will work, you will have a chit-chat, you will sing, you will dance - what else is there to do?

Contradictions

I saw a realy heavy contradiction in writings I have published. it's this;

-Life is an ongoing cascade of unfathomable complex settles of events, it's to big to put down on some sentenses. And when we try to catsh and describe it, it already moved, it changed, it's something else, to alive.

...and in the next breath...

- It's too simpel to be communicated.

Now, is it too simpel or too complex?

Maybe we are lost in the concepts again, there seems to be no way to describe it, and jet it's "there".

At last, some quotes of the day....
