Quotes of the day

-Dharma - to be true to your innermost being. Thats what's all about.
-Life is an ongoing cascade of unfathomable complex settles of events, it's to big to put down on some sentenses. And when we try to catsh and describe it, it already moved, it changed, it's something else, to alive.
-When I can be with that what IS, as it IS.
-The seeing mirror, the observer is the mirror. The mirror is not mixed with the reflections. It's untouched.

Life

Life is a freefall into the open nothingness. There is nowhere to land, never was...

Life is like an arrow flying through the sky....

Existens never stops....never started...never began...moving constantly nowhere....the movement is the goal itself....the aliveness

Neverending flowering of the flower

Opening...and opening...and opening

Hui-neng, the great ch'an-master

Within our mind there is a buddha, and that buddha within is the real Buddha.

What you should do is to know your own mind and realize your own buddha-nature, which neither rests nor moves, neither becomes nor ceases to be, neither comes nor goes, neither affirms nor denies, neither stays nor departs.

The dharma is nondual, and so is the mind. The path is pure and above all forms. I warn you not to use those exercises for meditation on quietude or for keeping the mind a blank. The mind is by nature pure, so there is nothing for us to crave for or give up. Do your best, each of you, and go wherever circumstances lead.
Hui-neng
Amen to that, Roshi

Where is the focus?

Every moment is a gift. Every moment counts. What's happening here? Where's my focus? Where does the focus point in my connections with others? What is the core message?

On the other side of the mirror

When you awake on the other side of the mirror, it's obvious. The clearity shows what was always there, waiting for you. It was never lost.

It's like looking on the ball from the outside instead from the inside, and it's still the same ball. You could ever imagine that there always was the possibility to look from a totalydiffernet perspective.

Why the shift happend?

You dont know.

How it happend?

There is no way to know.

The knower is abscent

But knowing happens.

The difference is there, not the separation, this living awakeness has always been therewaiting for you.

This openess is inviting you.

*Reality already IS in the way that it inherently is; it has always been that way, it will always be that way, and it could not possibly be other than WHAT it is, HOW it is.

Quotes of Nisargadatta

As I only know the contents of my counsciousness, and as an outside world is unprovable, all perceivables are only in my mind.

Self-realization is not through knowledge of things or experiences, but through self-knowledge.

When you require anything from the world and nothing from God, when you don't desire anything, when you don't strive for anything, don't expect anything, the divine will enter you, unasked and unexpected.

Understanding confusion meens becoming free from it.

You will recive everything you need when you stop asking for what you do not need.

You cannot transcend what you do not know. To go beyond yourself you must know yourself.

Thoughts is not the enemy

We don't need to eliminate thoughts completely; we just need to arrive at the point where thoughts can float through awareness without producing any disturbance.

The chasing Buddha

Meditation allows us to merge into a transcendental ocean of calmness, this vast ocean of impersonal silence.

love

What a word

What a force

It's the urgency to love and be loved that gives birth to this world.

How it happens, no one will ever know. You can become one with the source, but you can't know it.

You can be love. What it is, you cannot know.

The days are over when you can turn away from love.

Love is on the hunt now.

I am reminded of a story by Buddha. In the begining of the search you are chasing Buddha, in the end you are chased by the buddha.

Enlightenment

Enlightenment is when you realize you are the sky.

You might be in this world, but not of it.

The dreamworld

"Just realise you are dreaming a dream you call the world and stop looking for ways out. The dream is not your problem. Your problem is that you like one part of your dream and not another. Love all or none of it, and stop complaining. When you have seen the dream as a dream, you have done all that needs to be done".

About personal Enlightenment

The deluded consciousness is the state in which I believe that I am an individual in the world. The awakened state knows the whole world is in me. So there is no personal Enlightenment. There is not an individual that arrives to some fantastic state called Enlightenment. The individual dissolves as a separate entity and appears again as consciousness.

The Booby Prize!

I have said this before. Enlightenment is the ultimate and final
Disappointment.

The Booby prize. Grattulation!

You lose everything and get nothing.

The ultimate and final disappointment.

why?

There is no-one. Never was. There was an appearance of a one,
a person, a "me". This appearance has a nearly hypnotically effect on everything we sense.
With a closer look there is only emptiness, a vastness, nothingness.....and

It seems so real, amazing.

And we...

..believe in this person, this mind.

Maybe it's the only problem, or...

It is what it is

To truth, enlightenment is useless.

Life has no centre

Jeff says here something beautiful....the center;

Life has no centre because it has no circumference. There’s nowhere where it ends, nowhere where it begins. It is simply a spontaneous expression of aliveness, happening now, now and now, leaving no trace of itself, projecting nothing into the future, concealing nothing, giving itself totally and completely and exhausting itself in that expression, leaving no residue. It is all things, and yet it is no thing.

When you realize yourself as completely empty and devoid of all form...this is wisdom.
When you realize yourself as the fullness of love overflowing itself without object...this is bliss.

And when you are aware of yourself incarnate in the appearance of form...this is leela.

The Power of Now

This clip as I understand or se is the essential of Eckhart Tolle. If there is any resonans to this...THIS is it...or this IS it....no...this is IT

Beautiful...isn't it?

what it is not

God or the essential nature is not something, not content, not form. Best description through words is to say what it is not. Not what it is. Then you are left with what it is, and cannot be named. But can be known. It can be known in the silent, space of stillness.

Silent listening

My words are not important. What is important is your silent listening. You are listening in silence; I am speaking in silence. My words reach to you with some freshness, with some fragrance; and because you are silent, that fragrance, that silence, deepens your silence -- makes it fragrant.

Love

Love is the greatest gift of God. Learn the art of it. Learn the song of it, the celebration of it. It is an absolute need: just as the body cannot survive without food, the soul cannot survive without love. Love is the nourishment of the soul, it is the beginning of all that is great, it is the door of the divine.

Mental movies

Words weave stories. They create mental movies that seem entirely believable and real. In this movie-world of thoughts and stories, it appears that "I" am inside this skin, and everything else is "out there." It appears that "I" am incomplete, forever in need of improvement or modification. "I" seek happiness and enlightenment in the future, chase after bigger and better experiences, compare "myself" to "others," and idolize those imagined to possess something special that "I" lack.

Joan tollifson

What she says, is interesting. The story. The movie that is running. I am not enough enlightend. I am not good enough. Not here. Not today. Not me. The constant comparing, never ending. It 's going on and on. Always tomorrow. Then she says:

Investigate this directly. Return attention to actuality. See for yourself. Can you actually find the doer, the thinker, the experiencer, the operator, the director, the one who is supposedly in charge here, or the one who appears to be trapped, the one who supposedly needs to awaken?

Can you?

Can you find?

Dancing emptiness

To awaken to the absolute view is profound and transformative, but to awaken from all fixed points of view is the birth of true nonduality. If emptiness cannot dance, it is not true Emptiness. If moonlight does not flood the empty night sky and reflect in every drop of water, on every blade of grass, then you are only looking at your own empty dream.

Ego and feeling miserable

Feeling miserable....when it's there...

Whenever you are miserable, just close the eyes and don't try to find some cause outside. Try to see from where this misery is coming.

It is your own ego.

If you continuously feel and understand, and the understanding that the ego is the cause becomes so deep-rooted, one day you will suddenly see that it has disappeared. Nobody drops it - nobody can drop it. You simply see; it has simply disappeared, because the very understanding that ego causes all misery becomes the dropping. THE VERY UNDERSTANDING IS THE DISAPPEARANCE OF THE EGO.

And you are so clever in seeing the ego in others. Anybody can see someone else's ego. When it comes to your own, then the problem arises - because you don't know the territory, you have never traveled on it.

The whole path towards the divine, the ultimate, has to pass through this territory of the ego. The false has to be understood as false. The source of misery has to be understood as the source of misery - then it simply drops.

When you know it is poison, it drops. When you know it is fire, it drops. When you know this is the hell, it drops.

And then you never say, "I have dropped the ego." Then you simply laugh at the whole thing, the joke that you were the creator of all misery.

There is.....

What is sought remains hidden from the seeker by already being everything.

--------------------------------------

But all of that, all of those ideas are adopted lessons about how it should be. The ego is what’s happening. The ego is just being ego. Thinking is just being thinking. There is only being. There is just being. There’s nothing else. There’s nobody that’s running that. There’s no destiny, there’s no God, there’s no plan, there’s no script, there’s nowhere to go because there is only timeless being.

Being is totally whole just being. And it is alive and fleshy and sexy and juicy and immediately this; it’s not some concept about ‘there’s no-one here’. It’s not some concept about ‘there’s nowhere to go’. It is the aliveness that’s in that body right now. There is pure beingness, pure aliveness.

That’s it.

End of story.

Tony Parsons
