The reality of thoughts

Thought is always an afterthought of what already happend. This moment is already a memory. And it's not a problem, memories happend also in "now". Whatever it is is undivided, you cannot divide space, vastness but you can thought of division, imagine it, fantasize that it can happen, that it is divided. Reality doesn't care about thoughts. Thoughts doesn't touch space, vastness. When the me-thought disappears the idea of a separate entity disolves into space, vastness. And everything is as it always was from the beginning, space, vastness.

Another thing, the universe has no foundation.

Roshi, what you say is very true indeed.
We can never divide or separate reality, no matter how hard we try, or how much pain we cause ourselves in trying to do so.

I am reminded of Franz Kafka's comment, when he wrote:
"In the struggle between you and the world, back the world"

Have your "me-thought" dissolved?

Roshi sa...

Thank you both for the comments. The "me-thought" comes and goes, what's amazing is that everything is functioning as usual, the bodily sensations, the senses and there can simultaneously be no thought, scary. Life doesn't need thought to functioning. And the "me-thought" arises in the stream of thoughts, AND when you are in the "now-moment" where the mind rests it suddenly occures, the stopping. Awareness is there but no thoughts, "Life dosen't need 'you'"( Quote:Jeff Foster), that is scary, horryfing. 'You' are not there and everything just goes on as if nothing happend. The "me-thought" appears and disappears in 'this' immediacy.

"Life doesn't need you". Hmm... I don't find it scary or horryfying. It's obvious and it's liberating:) The whole drama of the seeker comes to an end when you contemplate this obvious fact!

Roshi sa...

If that is the case, I am very pleased to read that. For me the respond is also liberating, but there is also the feeling of the opposite....when the buddha start chasing you.

The horror depends on the degree of identification with the "me-thought". When the "me-thought" is threatened it will do anything to persist. Anger, fear, sickness, pain...anything....this is why I cannot understand why anyone ever could want "this". Maybe this is the play of existence, the awareness seeking itself and playes this whole drama to itself by itself. But, Björn, dear friend, you know this already.Or, you know "this" already.

Anyway, I am thinking about how things is going for you. I follow your blog.

When it comes to "me-thought", a good sense of humour is important. Taking oneself too seriously creates a more fixed and oppressive ego. Humour and seeing the funny side of life gives a better sense of proportion. It bursts the bubble of vanity and self-importance.

well, that's it. Of course, humour and the non-seriousness of oneself. The cosmic joke. Enjoy or wait for another experience. There is no other options. If your "now-moment" is enjoyment, light approach is happening to your life. You are completly right, Peter. Thank you for your comment.
